Partners are getting Younger and Younger…Alright Alright Alright 😉 🤠

The old guard is retiring and the impact of the accounting shortage is taking effect. The result… Partners are getting crowned at a younger age than ever before.

😲 The trend may be regional for now, but the Economic Times is reporting that the average age of New Partners is 33.

😎 Every accountant can think of those one or two Cool Partners at the firm that just seemed to “Get it”. They seemed to Keep it Real while still achieving the upper echelon.

It may or may not be a coincidence that they just so happened to also be the youngest partners at the firm.

The good news is, Promoting partners earlier in their career, is a much needed retention tactic.

🧓 It’s also a result of the aging leadership in accounting today. Roughly 75% of today’s CPA’s are at retirement age.
